Titanic Day!

On, Tuesday Eli had Titanic day at school. It was an afternoon of Titanic activities, food and fun! The kids had been assigned a passenger of the titanic when they started their study of the ship/crash. Eli was one of the crew, who worked in the engine room. Sadly he did not make it but he assures me that he did his best to save as many people as possible. :) The kids could dress up like their "passenger" if they wanted to. Eli decided a grease stained (really black shoe polish) t-shirt was the way to go. The kids divided up into groups and went to different stations and rotated through them all.
One of the highlights was the "Captain's Table" where the kids got to enjoy yummy treats. The favorite being the chocolate fountain.

More food to eat!

I was in charge of the design your own cabin station. You picked a cabin on the paper Titanic and then added the features that you should have. All Titanic appropriate. Much to the disappointment of several kids. No TVs, wii's, xbox's etc allowed. The kids did a great job of really sticking to the rules. Eli made sure his cabin was close to the engine rooms.

Finally the food table. He was worried that being one of the last groups to go they might run out of food. But you can see they had plenty of strawberries/marshmallows left. Eli was happy about that!
