Last week was field day for the elementary school, the weather was awesome. Eli being a 6th grade was a helper. It was also the all school picnic, the boys enjoyed hanging out with all their friends.

The did field day a little differently - they went through the activities by class - which made it a lot easier for me to see all that Lucas was doing ( didn't hurt that I was only following 1 kid).
Shoe toss.
Lucas got 3rd for the football throw.
High jump.
Knock out. Lucas was trying shoot his basket ball into the basket before his opponent.
Lava cross - the 4 working together to move across the gym while always staying inside the hula hoops.
Cup stacking.
Plank Wars. Lucas took 2nd in his class. He was shaking pretty bad at the end but held in there for a long time.
Monkey bar hang.

Can't have field day w/o tug of war! The two 3rd grade classes were competing. Lucas's class gave their all but couldn't quite pull hard enough.
And the 6th graders dominated over the teachers. But in all fairness the teachers were greatly outnumbered. I still have more to post so come back for more updates.
