Join in . . .

The Thrifty Decor Chic is having a organizing/declutter party. And I am joining in. I have to get the house ready to sell anyway, so I thought it would be fun to join.

I usually start in one area and since I couldn't use my dining room table. It was the best place to start. Sometimes it is hard to stay focused( ie when I put something away like a toy, I realize how messy the playroom is and then begin cleaning that instead of finishing the room I had started in.) and I end up getting frustrated because it feels like the job is never ending. Since my house is small, I don't really have any place to put things as I am going through them. So reorganizing can be frustrating until I have time to take stuff to the goodwill or trash is picked up. So, usually I try to do any major stuff the day before trash day to limit any extra headache. Here are some before and after (sorry mom, I know it will embarrass you).

Alot of times the boys forget to throw away empty boxes, so my pantry gets crowded with half full boxes. The last pick is the snack box, so you can see what I mean.
So, here are the after pics.

And here is the trash that will go out tomorrow! I will take the boxes to the school to recycle. But this is a good start.

Get started today!

It always feels good to me to have everything in its place. You are off to a good start to get the house ready to sell.

Great job :)

My twins do the same thing. They put empty boxes back into the pantry or empty containers back into the fridge. Im working on my pantry right now and I threw away so many empty containers. I dont have as much food as I thought I had LOL
